  1.                 Pattern Menu

  4. This menu contains items to generate a variety of test
  5. patterns.
  6.  
  7. Bars            - Fully saturated color bars.
  8.  
  9. Checker         - Checker board.
  10.  
  11. Circles         - Overlapping red, green, blue circles.
  12.  
  13. Flag            - U.S.A. flag.
  14.                   (Flags of several other countries can be
  15.                   generated with the sample program FLAG.C.)
  16.  
  17. Palette         - A very wide variety of colors.
  18.  
  19. rainboW         - Colors of the rainbow.
  20.  
  21. Torture         - A variety of color scales, gray scale, and
  22.                   resolution tests.

  25. The last two require some explanation.

  27. Cubes, Left Eye
  28. Cubes, Right Eye  - These are used to generate a 3D image.
  29.                     Here's how:
  30.  
  31.                 1. Click on thumbnail image 0 at the bottom
  32.                    of the screen.
  33.                 2. Pick "Cubes, Left Eye" from the Pattern
  34.                    menu.
  35.                 3. Click on thumbnail image 1 at the bottom
  36.                    of the screen.
  37.                 4. Pick "Cubes, Right Eye" from the Pattern
  38.                    menu.
  39.                 5. Click on thumbnail image 2 at the bottom
  40.                    of the screen.
  41.                 6. Pick "L+R into 3D" from the Image menu.
  42.                 7. Click on thumbnail image 0 then image 1.
  43.                 8. You should see a strange looking image 
  44.                    with a lot of red, blue, and magenta.
  45.                 9. Put on your 3D glasses with the red lens
  46.                    on the left side.
  47.                 10. Let your eyes adjust for several seconds.
  48.                    Try viewing at different distances from the
  49.                    screen and moving your head a little from
  50.                    side to side for maximum effect.
